We advise booking online if you need skate hire — some venues can have randomly busy peaks and being mobile we can only carry so many pairs of skates. If you own your own skates, please simply book online to secure your place.
Our standard pricing is:
Yes! We hire Rio Rental retro Quad skates at all our events. Sizes range from child's size 8 right up to Adult size 12. We recommend booking skate hire in advance to guarantee your size.
We don't hire Inline skates — just retro quad skates — but you can use your own inline skates at most events. Please check with our team in advance if you're unsure.
Yes, provided you have non-marking toe stops. Please check with one of our skate hire team at the event who will advise you. Heelies are not permitted at any of our events.
Please ask any Marshal at any event for advice, hints and tips to get you rolling. Our marshals are experienced and love helping beginners get started!
We have no minimum age limit here at United SK8S. However, our hire skates start at a child size 6 to 9 adjustable. We advise that the younger the skater, the more assistance they will need from parents or guardians. Children under 12 must be accompanied by at least one adult.
Simply book your actual shoe size for skate hire. If you're say a 6.5 UK, then book a UK 7 and wear thick socks at the event. Wearing thick socks also provides additional ankle support for beginners!
We don't hire helmets at roller discos — mainly due to hygiene and the vast quantities we would need to carry. You're welcome to bring your own helmet if you prefer. Wrist guards are provided at private events.
We no longer sell skates and equipment. However, a quick Google search of what you're looking for will give you a host of available outlets. Plenty of great options online!

Arrive about 5 to 10 minutes prior to the event. Check-in is quick and our team will have everything ready for you. We'd recommend arriving a little earlier if you need to collect hired skates.
If contacted at least 36 hours prior to a booked event we may be able to offer a full refund. We can no longer carry bookings over to another event. Please email us at bookings@unitedsk8s.com.
